Manuals
Our technical writers maintain general and commercial aviation manuals to comply with ATWAP (Accepted Technical Writing and Assessment Practices) and apply Specification ASD-STE100 for Simplified Technical English as applicable to a particular document. Some of the manuals we author are subject to regulatory approval before they may be used by the client. Other manuals are approved internally by the clients’ management.
Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL) for private operators are approved by Aerofoil’s in-house Transport Canada Minister’s Delegate for MEL Approvals.
Examples of standard aviation manuals we have written are: Operations Manuals, Maintenance Control Manuals, Maintenance Policy and Procedures Manuals, Quality Assurance Manuals, Safety Management System (SMS) Manuals, Flight Attendant Manuals, Training Manuals, and Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL).
Specialized technical writing assignments include engineering and maintenance instructions, specialty flight operations manuals, specialty flight training manuals, corporate aviation policy, and others.
Audits
Our in-house Quality Systems Auditor (QSA) has been certified by the Canadian Council for Aviation and Aerospace (CCAA). We perform standard regulatory compliance and safety audits for general and commercial aircraft operators, including related maintenance operations.
We have also designed and performed specialty audits to substantiate compliance with detailed client specifications. On completion of the audit we prepare compliance matrices and reports for internal company reporting as requested.
Training Compliance and Record Management
Our custom-built in-house training records management system is designed to track our clients’ training requirements and mandatory training documents.
